Sa fille, Kelly, est l'exemple type de la blonde complètement idiote, son fils Bud tente désespérément de ramener des filles à la maison, et sa femme Peggy est mère au foyer, mais en 20 ans de mariage elle n'a jamais fait la cuisine, la vaisselle, ni lavé le linge, et adore rester devant la télé quand Al est au travail, ou faire du shopping avec le peu d'argent que gagne son mari.
Comme si cela ne suffisait pas, Al doit également supporter Marcy, la voisine qu'il qualifie de « dinde aux mamelles atrophiées » et qui passe son temps à le critiquer avec l'aide de Peggy. Heureusement, il y a Jefferson et Steeve, deux hommes prisonniers de Marcy par le mariage, qui eux aussi fréquentent le « Nibar'bar ».
The original pilot was taped on December 12, 1986. The producers were not happy with the original child actors Tina Caspary (as Kelly) and Hunter Carson (as Bud). They recast the roles and all the scenes with the Bundy kids had to be reshot.
In the 200th episode, clips of past episodes are shown. This episode is hosted by George Plimpton and you get to see the Married... with Children set as just a Hollywood set and not the Bundy household.
We follow Ted McGinley and Amanda Bearse around during one day and see them train, eat, and more. We see Amanda Bearse direct episodes, we see Ted McGinley visit a centre for kids with cancer... and stuff other stuff. We see them working with episode 720 - "Unalful Entry".

A look at the over-the-top and controversial sitcom about a dysfunctional Chicago family that lasted 11 seasons on TV. The crude antics of the family's disgruntled father Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill), his tacky wife Peg (Katey Sagal), his ditzy daughter Kelly (Christina Applegate), and girl-chasing son Bud (David Faustino) delighted some viewers and offended others. The show was a huge departure from the picture-perfect families viewers often saw on television, but even as it ruffled feathers, the show represented a more realistic picture of the everyday problems that Americans were dealing with in the late 80s and 90s.
This version of E! True Hollywood Story reflects on the rebald sitcom "Married... with Children". Interviewed are the creators Ron Leavitt and Michael G. Moye who talk about how they worried about pushing the envelope and how the network Fox had just been created in 1986 and how two different people originally received the roles for Kelly and Bud but they didn't work out so they got Christina Applegate and David Faustino. Also discussed is the episode where Steve and Al hunt for a bra for Peg and a whiny female viewer of the episode was offended. Also discussed was the episode "I'll See You in Court" that was not allowed to air because of it's explicit content. The cast is also interviewed, and recall how they were oblivious to the fact that Married... with Children was cancelled in 1997 and they discuss a final episode they would've liked to do.
Al and Peg learn they have been video taped getting intimate at a sleazy motel. The same thing has also happened to Steve and Marcy. They decide to take the matter to court.
