Janek Ambros is an American film writer, producer and director. In 2012, he founded Assembly Line Entertainment, a financing and production company that has produced over a dozen films ranging from narrative films that have premiered at festivals such as Venice, Sundance and TIFF to documentaries and experimental films from around the globe. Notable films as a writer/director include "Le Quinze Mai à Paris" produced by Barbara De Fina (Goodfellas, Casino), "Imminent Threat", which tackles the War on Terror's impact on civil liberties and executive produced by Academy Award nominee James Cromwell, and the theatrically released psychedelic comedy he co-wrote and directed, "Mondo Hollywoodland," also executive produced by Cromwell. His most recent film, "Ukrayintsi u Vyhnanni" is a short documentary about an anonymous Ukrainian citizen telling her story about the Russian invasion. It was shot on the border of Poland and Ukraine and is executive produced by two time Academy Award winner Janusz Kaminski which will premiere at the Morelia Film Festival and won best documentary at the 76th Salerno Film Festival.

César Charlone (born 1958) is an Uruguayan-born Brazilian film director, screenwriter, actor and cinematographer. He was born in Montevideo, but settled in Brazil, his current homeland. In 2003, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for his work on the highly acclaimed film City of God. On 2007, he directed his first feature film, The Pope's Toilet, which was selected by Uruguay as its official submission for the 80th Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. A year earlier, he was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. ​

George Bernard Worrell, Jr. was an American musician and record producer. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, Worrell was a child musical prodigy. He later studied at the Juilliard School and received a degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in 1967. After meeting George Clinton, frontman of the Parliaments, Worrell relocated with them and their backing band, the Funkadelics, to Detroit, Michigan; both groups became collectively known as Parliament-Funkadelic. Worrell co-wrote and played piano and synthesizers on many of their recordings, as well as writing horn and rhythm arrangements. In the 1980s, Worrell performed and recorded with Talking Heads, appearing on the live album The Name of This Band Is Talking Heads, the studio album Speaking in Tongues, and in the band's concert film, Stop Making Sense. In 2016, the New England Conservatory of Music awarded Worrell an honorary Doctor of Music degree. Worrell died at his home in Everson, Washington, on June 24, 2016, at the age of 72, from a combination of prostate cancer, liver cancer and lung cancer.

Frédéric Balekdjian (19 avril 1964, Raincy) est un réalisateur et scénariste français d'origine arménienne. Formé par Robert Cordier, après un premier court-métrage en 1990, Frédéric Balekdjian réalise son premier film, Les Mauvais Joueurs, primé au Festival du film policier de Cognac en 2005. Trois ans plus tard, il réalise Un monde à nous avec son fils Anton Balekdjian et Édouard Baer. Il réalise notamment la série phare sur Canal + "Kaboul Kitchen".

Il reçoit le prix Goncourt en 2013 pour Au revoir là-haut et un César en 2018 pour l'adaptation de cette même œuvre. Pierre Lemaitre passe sa jeunesse entre Aubervilliers et Drancy auprès de parents employés, qu'il situe politiquement «à gauche». Psychologue de formation et autodidacte en littérature, il effectue une grande partie de sa carrière dans la formation professionnelle des adultes, leur enseignant la communication, la culture générale ou animant des cycles d'enseignement de la littérature à destination de bibliothécaires. En août 2013, Au revoir là-haut, marque, dans son œuvre, un important changement puisqu'il signe, cette fois, un roman picaresque (et non historique). En novembre 2013, le roman reçoit le prix Goncourt. Il est classé en tête par L'Express dans sa liste des best-sellers de l'année 2013 et adapté au cinéma par Albert Dupontel en 2017, sous le même titre. En 2020, Il affirme le rôle important de sa femme Pascaline dans son travail d'écrivain, lui faisant relire «tous ses manuscrits .
