After leaving school at 16 Sean McAllister worked in a series of low-paid low-skilled factory jobs in his hometown of Hull before finding a camera and filming his way into the National Film and Television School (NFTS), graduating in 1996. Since then he has made films for both the BBC and Channel 4; working in the UK and internationally. His candid, frank films depict with extraordinary intimacy the lives of ordinary people who are struggling to survive but who are survivors; intelligent and resourceful people caught-up in a world of political turmoil and personal conflict. In 2005 his remarkable film ‘The Liberace Of Baghdad‘ about Iraqi pianist Samir Peter won the Special Jury Prize (World Documentary) at the Sundance Film Festival. From IMDb; Don McGraw was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 2, 1966, to Donald P. McGraw, Jr., and the former Helen Ann Hughes. His father was a factory plant manager who made beer cans and his mother was a homemaker who previously had worked as a telephone operator for Illinois Bell. Because of his father's job, Don moved around during his youth, living for only three years in his home town and then variously in Longview, Texas; Gretna, Louisiana; and finally in Warner Robins, Georgia. In 1979, at the age of thirteen, Don auditioned for and won his first stage role: that of Noah Claypole in an adaptation of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist. He did so on the advice of a classmate who reported that teenage girls were in abundance in community theatre... and that friend was right! What started out as a means to get dates quickly turned into a thirty-year avocation. Professionally, Don spent most of his adult life as a high school drama and English teacher, all the while amassing an impressive list of over 75 stage credits. When he was 44 years old, Don developed some health problems which sidelined him from teaching. While recuperating, he and his wife decided that he should try his hand at film acting. Don currently lives with his wife, Denise, in Central Georgia, which puts him right smack-dab in the middle of that state's two largest markets for film and television acting: Atlanta and Savannah. Paul Lederman, né le 2 mai 1940 à Tanger au Maroc, est un producteur de spectacles français. Il a notamment géré ou lancé les carrières de Claude François, Michel Polnareff, Mike Brant, Thierry Le Luron, Coluche et les Inconnus. Né le 2 mai 1940 à Tanger au Maroc de Raphaël Lederman, industriel, et Rachel Languewitz, juifs polonais, il débute dans la vie active en tant que disquaire spécialisé dans la musique américaine tant jazz que rock, alors à ses débuts. Son talent le fait reconnaître et il devient rapidement disquaire de la plupart des grands magasins parisiens car c'est là que les GI encore nombreux en France à cette époque, cherchent à se procurer les disques à la mode. Très vite, il passe les disques de son choix en première partie de soirée dans des salles de cinéma où se jouent alors des mini-spectacles avant le film. Ensuite, il se crée un petit réseau de maisons de disques et noue des liens avec de jeunes directeurs artistiques de l'époque, comme Jean-Jacques Tilché, du label Fontana, ou Claude Dejacques, chez Philips. Lorsque Claude François sort son premier 45T sous le pseudonyme de KôKô, c'est un flop. Sous l'impulsion des têtes pensantes de Fontana, Paul Lederman est présenté à Claude François, avec pour mission d'en faire la promotion. Ce sera le début du succès pour l'un et le commencement d'un parcours d'impresario-producteur pour l'autre. Paul Lederman sera dans un premier temps partie prenante dans le choix des titres de son poulain. Il est par exemple, à l'origine du choix du titre: Belles, Belles, Belles, puis de Si j'avais un marteau. Ces deux titres étant des reprises de standards américains dont le producteur est alors à l'affut. Par la suite, Paul Lederman s'éloigne de la partie enregistrement pour ne plus s'occuper quasi exclusivement que de la promotion des artistes eux-mêmes. Au fil du temps, Paul Lederman produira: Hervé Vilard, Mike Brant, Michel Polnareff, Christophe, Michèle Torr, Thierry Le Luron, Coluche, Renaud, Le Grand Orchestre du Splendid et Les Inconnus. En 2012, il est incarné par Benoît Magimel dans le film Cloclo de Florent-Emilio Siri. Il a trois enfants: Jessica et Alexandre et Alexandra, issus d’une première union avec Paulette Chabeaudie. Après le départ de Smaïn en 1985, Paul Lederman qui a rencontré les Inconnus l'année suivante, produit Les Trois Frères et signe un contrat pour trois autres films avec les Inconnus. Il demande alors d'obtenir des droits sur Le Pari et L'Extraterrestre, tournés sans Pascal Légitimus. Mais Didier Bourdon et Bernard Campan, considérant que «deux inconnus sur trois, ce n'était pas les Inconnus», refusent. La justice leur donne raison. Une fois leur contrat arrivé à échéance et donc libérés de toute contrainte envers leur producteur, les Inconnus réapparaissent, à nouveau au complet, dans le film Les Rois mages. En 2012, Lederman déclare sur Europe 1 qu'ils sont «humainement à chier» et «qu'il regrette de les avoir rencontrés». En 2022, Seymour Brussel explique avoir quitté Les Cinq à cause du conflit avec Lederman et que ce dernier a «volé Les Inconnus». ...
