She moved to Oakland, California when she was two years old. She began performing in plays and musicals at the age of eleven, as well as training in all forms of dance from tap and ballet, to hip-hop. She went on to dance on scholarship at Alvin Ailey in New York and finally received her BA in Theater Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she is supporting herself with a career in film and television.

En 1963, ils obtiennent leur première représentation marquante en apportant leur soutien aux Rolling Stones à la salle des fêtes de Sheffield. Inspiré par les textes de Dave Berry, il fait également des apparitions avec le backing band local Dave Berry and the Cruisers. En 1964, après une audition auprès du producteur Mike Leander, ce dernier l'aide à enregistrer une démo de qualité, ce qui permet à Joe de signer un contrat personnel avec Decca et publier son premier quarante-cinq tours, une reprise de I'll Cry Instead des Beatles. Philippe Lanners, dit Bouli Lanners, est un comédien, scénariste, metteur en scène et réalisateur belge et luxembourgeois francophone, né le 20 mai 1965 à Moresnet-Chapelle. Bouli Lanners naît le 20 mai 1965 à Moresnet-Chapelle, non loin du tripoint de la frontière avec l’Allemagne et les Pays-Bas et grandit à La Calamine, une des neuf communes de langue allemande de Belgique, située sur la frontière et ancien territoire neutre (entre 1816 et 1919). Après un bref passage à l'Académie royale des beaux-arts de Liège, il entame une vie faite de petits boulots et de débrouille, tout en continuant à peindre. Régisseur pour les Snuls, ceux-ci l'emploient occasionnellement comme acteur et peu à peu en font un personnage récurrent et populaire. Goethals made her acting debut in the Broadway production of Coastal Disturbances in 1987, and later became known for her role in Home Alone (1990) playing the sister of Macaulay Culkin's character in the film. Throughout the 1990s, Goethals went on to star in several independent films and television shows, including a leading role on the sitcom Phenom (1993), as well as a small role in Jerry Maguire (1996). In 1999, Goethals graduated from Vassar college with a B.A. in French before returning to acting. In 2005, she landed a recurring guest appearance on 24, and also gained recognition and critical acclaim for her starring role in the black comedy horror mockumentary, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006).
