Dan Weisgerber graduated from Brown Institute, Mpls. Minn. in May of 1967. Dan began a 45 year radio career, mostly working in the Midwest. The last 20 years he worked at 790 KFGO radio in Fargo, North Dakota. While working as a radio announcer, Dan enjoyed acting in plays, and while working mornings at KSTN Stockton, Cal. in 1978, 1979 Dan appeared in "Good Luck Miss Wyckoff" a film directed by Marvin Chomsky . Acting is a passion that he pursues in retirement, since arriving in the Phoenix area of Arizona Dan has landed parts in TV commercials, promotional videos, training videos, web series. and a IMAX documentary film entitled "Dream Big"

Equity New Zealand is thrilled to announce that Ken Blackburn ONZM is the recipient of the 2017 Equity Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Ryman Healthcare. In an impressively wide-ranging career spanning more than 40 years Ken has worked in film, television, radio and theatre. Ken has appeared in many of New Zealand’s most iconic TV shows including Xena: Warrior Princess, Farscape, Close To Home, Gliding On and Shortland Street. His film credits include pioneering feature Skin Deep, The Frighteners, King Kong and Rest for the Wicked. Ken’s stage credits are also extensive. In 1999 his performance as Vladimir in Waiting for Godot earned him the Best Actor award at the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards. In 2005 he was awarded the Queen's Birthday Honours List for Services to the Performing Arts. Ken most recently performed in Circa Theatre’s 2017 production of Three Days in the Country. As well as his successful career as an actor in New Zealand, the UK and Australia, Ken has also directed stage, film, television and radio productions. His autobiographical book Blitz Kids was published by the BBC in 1995. Equity President Jennifer Ward-Lealand says: “I cannot think of a more worthy recipient for this award than Ken Blackburn. Since the 1970s Ken has been gracing our screens and stages, delivering countless moving and memorable performances. Ken’s name has come up time and time again during the nomination and section process for the Lifetime Achievement Award because he is such a beloved and respected member of our performer community.” Ken was nominated by New Zealand performers and selected by the board of Equity New Zealand. Since its inception, the Equity New Zealand Lifetime Achievement Award has been made possible with the generous support of Ryman Healthcare. Previous recipients include Elizabeth McRae and Dame Kate Harcourt. Ryman Healthcare chief executive Gordon MacLeod said it was great to see Ken rewarded for his many years of hard work and dedication to acting. “We’re delighted to see Ken achieve this recognition. His many characters – hapless, bumbling and sometimes downright sinister - have delighted generations of New Zealanders and he has made a huge contribution to TV, film and theatre in New Zealand. Elle a été une influence importante notamment pour Gus Van Sant, Todd Haynes et Michael Haneke. Chantal Akerman est issue d'une famille juive polonaise. Ses grands-parents et sa mère, Natalia, ont été déportés à Auschwitz, seule sa mère en est revenue. Son père se nomme Jacques Akerman. Sa sœur Sylviane Akerman. Dans ses films, elle traite des relations mère-fille, de la vie des femmes, de leurs rapports, de la sexualité, de l'homosexualité et de l'identité féminines. Selon Jean-Michel Frodon, sa relation au judaïsme traverse toute sa filmographie. André Delvaux l'a soutenue dès son premier court métrage, Saute ma ville en 1968, un film pré-punk, anarchiste, dans l’air subversif du temps, où Akerman exprimait de manière explosive son besoin vital de libération. Après un court passage à l'Institut national supérieur des arts du spectacle, en 1967-1968 où elle claque la porte après trois mois, et la réalisation en 1971 de L'enfant aimé ou Je joue à être une femme mariée, un deuxième film (depuis longtemps invisible) que la cinéaste estime raté parce que pas assez construit, précis, dirigé, Akerman part avec Samy Szlingerbaum à New York où elle fréquente assidûment l'Anthology Film Archives (cinémathèque). Elle y découvre le cinéma expérimental américain (Michael Snow, Andy Warhol, Jonas Mekas, etc.). Vivant de petits boulots, elle parvient néanmoins à tourner plusieurs films. En 1972, La Chambre, un court-métrage à base de lent panoramique horizontal qui balaie l'espace à 360 degrés plusieurs fois, et Hôtel Monterey, 63 minutes, une suite de plans fixes précisément cadrés et de lents travellings dans les couloirs, puis la caméra sort de l'immeuble par le toit où un panoramique balaie l'horizon urbain. Enfin, en 1973, Hanging Out Yonkers, son premier essai de documentaire (sur des jeunes à problèmes fréquentant un centre social), resté inachevé et dont les rushes sont parfois projetés en cinémathèque ou lors de rétrospectives. Chantal Akerman vit ensuite à Paris. Elle retourne à New York en 1976, après sa reconnaissance internationale, pour réaliser News from Home (89 minutes), une lecture des lettres inquiètes et plaintives que lui envoyait sa maman pendant son séjour, accompagnée par des plans monumentaux (façades, rues, métro) de la mégapole. Le film se clôt par un très long travelling arrière, la caméra posée sur un bateau s'éloignant des tours jumelles du World Trade Center. Gideon Glick (born June 6, 1988) is an American actor. His Broadway work includes the role of Ernst in the musical Spring Awakening, Jimmy-6 in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Jordan Berman in Significant Other, and most recently Dill Harris in Aaron Sorkin's adaptation of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, for which he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. His film and TV work includes Ocean's 8, The Detour, Devious Maids, and Alfie in the fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Chanon Santinatornkul, nicknamed Nonkul or Non, is an actor born in Bangkok. He graduated from school from Bangkok Christian College, and completed undergraduate education in film production at Mahidol University International College. Nonkul first appeared in the 2014 indie gay romance 'Love's Coming' as a supporting character, although his first acting role was in 'Patcha is Sexy', a short film and reproductive health campaign sponsored by the Ministry of Public Health. He went on to join the roster of Nadao Bangkok, a talent management company and subsidiary of the production company GTH (now GDH 559). He became widely noticed for his role as Net, a minor character in the hit TV series 'Hormones'. Chanon's role as Bank in the 2017 hit thriller 'Bad Genius' brought him international fame, especially in China. He has since appeared in the Chinese TV series 'Blowing in the Wind'. He did not renew his contract with Nadao Bangkok when it expired in 2018, and is now working independently.
