Wolfgang Herrndorf (12 June 1965 – 26 August 2013) was a German author, painter, and illustrator. Herrndorf studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg. He began his career as illustrator and author – among others – for the fanzine Luke & Trooke, the publisher Haffmans Verlag and the satirical magazine Titanic. In 2002, his debut novel In Plüschgewittern was published by Zweitausendeins. Despite the protagonist’s age of approximately 30 years, Herrndorf describes the novel as youth novel. Critics described the novel as popular literature, a reworked version of In Plüschgewittern was republished by Rowohlt in 2008. A collection of interconnected short stories by Herrndorf was published by Eichborn Verlag under the title of Diesseits des Van-Allen-Gürtels in 2007; A fictional interview between Herrndorf and an untrustworthy Cosmonaut, which contained many elements from science-fiction, was released the same year, by SuKuLTuR-Verlag. Unreliable narrators are a recurring element in Herrndorf’s fiction, which is attributed to the influence of Vladimir Nabokov. His critically and commercially biggest success was the novel Tschick (published as Why We Took the Car in English), a bildungsroman about two fourteen-year-old boys. The book was featured on the German list of bestselling books for over a year. He published his next novel Sand in November 2011. The novel contains elements of crime fiction, society novels and historical novels. Herrndorf quipped, the novel could belong to the genre of the “Trottelroman” (idiot novel). Sand won the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in 2012, ‘’Tschick’’ was nominated for the same prize the year before. Herrndorf’s friend Robert Koall accepted the prize in Herrndorf's stead. Sand also made it to the shortlist of the German Book Prize Herrndorf, who lived in Berlin, regularly wrote in the web forum “Wir höflichen Paparazzi” (German web forum that reports about random encounters with celebrities), which is acknowledged to have had a strong influence on Herrndorf and worked as a space for resonance. He also participated with contributions for the web blog “Riesenmaschine” (German collaborative blog). He was a member of the national authors football team “Autonama”. After being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour (glioblastoma) in February 2010, he began a digital diary called “das Blog Arbeit und Struktur” (the blog Work and Structure) in which he reports about his deadly illness. It was posthumously published in December 2013 by Rowohlt in book form, as the author had requested. On August the 26th 2013 Herrndorf committed suicide in Berlin. He was interred at the Dorotheenstadt cemetery in Berlin. In 2014 Rowohlt published the sequel of Tschick from Isa's point of view as an unfinished novel with the title Bilder deiner großen Liebe (Pictures Of Your True Love). The epilogue by Kathrin Passig and Marcus Gärtner states that Herrndorf himself approved the release and determined the title. The book was first performed as a play in 2015 at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, directed by Jan Gehlers. Ritesh Batra (born 12 June 1979) is an Indian filmmaker. Batra is widely known for his debut feature film The Lunchbox starring Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Nimrat Kaur, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 and won Rail d’Or (Grand Golden Rail). Batra also won the Toronto Film Critics Association Award for Best First Feature Film in 2014. The Lunchbox has been called the highest grossing foreign film in America, Europe and Australia for the year of 2014 grossing over 25 Million USD/180 Crore INR. Batra was nominated for a BAFTA Award for The Lunchbox in the category Film Not in the English language in 2015.[1] He has directed the English-language film The Sense of an Ending, starring Jim Broadbent. Lyudmila Cheshmedzhieva is famous Bulgarian opera singer and film actress. She was born on June 12, 1941 in the village of Marino, then a village separate from Dimitrovgrad, Dimitrovgrad. In high school she sang in school's choir, played ballet and gymnastics and studied art speech. She graduated in "singing" in the Music Academy in Sofia in the class of Hristo Brambarov . At that time, Svetozar Donev invited her to participate in Musical Theater in the operetta "The girl I loved." Ivo Linna (born June 12, 1949 in Kuressaare) is an Estonian singer and sometimes actor. He represented Estonia alongside Maarja Liis Ilus in the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 in Oslo with the song "Kaelakee Hääl" (The Sound of a Necklace) which finished 5th at the contest. He competed in Eesti Laul 2017 with the song "Suur Loterii" (Big Lottery). The song won its semi final, but came fifth of ten entries in the final round. Together with his son Robert Linna and the Estonian band Supernova, Ivo participated in Eesti Laul 2021 with the song "Ma Olen Siin" (I'm Here). The song finished in eleventh place of the twelve entries in the final round.

Hideki Matsui (松井 秀喜, Matsui Hideki, born June 12, 1974), nicknamed "Godzilla", is a Japanese former professional baseball outfielder and designated hitter who played baseball in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and Major League Baseball (MLB). He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. Matsui played the first 10 seasons of his career in Japan for NPB's Yomiuri Giants. During that span, he was a nine-time All-Star, three-time Japan Series champion, and three-time Central League Most Valuable Player (MVP). In 2003, Matsui transitioned to playing in MLB in North America, and spent his first seven seasons there with the New York Yankees. As a Yankee, he was a two-time All-Star and 2009 World Series champion, for which he was named the World Series MVP. After becoming a free agent, Matsui had one-year stints with three other MLB teams: the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Oakland Athletics, and Tampa Bay Rays. On July 28, 2013, Matsui signed a one-day minor league contract with the Yankees in order to officially retire with the team. During his 20-year playing career, Matsui hit 507 home runs—332 in NPB and 175 in MLB. In 2018, Matsui was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame. Bidipta married film director Birsa Dasgupta in 2010 which is her third marriage. Chaitali Dasgupta and Raja Dasgupta are her mother-in-law and father-in-law respectively.
