Erich Maria Remarque, né Erich Paul Remark le 22 juin 1898 à Osnabrück (Province de Hanovre) et mort le 25 septembre 1970 à Locarno (Suisse), est un écrivain allemand, naturalisé américain en 1947 après avoir été déchu de sa nationalité allemande par le régime nazi en juillet 1938. Son livre À l'Ouest, rien de nouveau (Im Westen nichts Neues), un roman pacifiste sur la Première Guerre mondiale, connut, dès sa parution en 1929, un succès mondial retentissant et reste un ouvrage-phare sur le premier conflit mondial. À l'instar de Catherine soldat (Die Katrin wird Soldat) d'Adrienne Thomas, ce livre fut brûlé lors des autodafés de 1933 en Allemagne. E.M. Remarque s'exila en Suisse, puis aux États-Unis où il obtint sa naturalisation. Il se fait appeler Erich Maria Remarque dès 1924, le changement de prénom, pour « Maria », datant de novembre 1922. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Clyde Austin Drexler (born June 22, 1962) is an American former professional basketball player who is the commissioner of the Big3 3-on-3 basketball league. Nicknamed "Clyde the Glide", he played 15 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), spending a majority of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers before finishing with the Houston Rockets. He was a ten-time NBA All-Star and named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. Drexler won an NBA championship with Houston in 1995, and earned a gold medal on the 1992 United States Olympic team known as "The Dream Team". He was inducted twice into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, in 2004 for his individual career and in 2010 as a member of the "Dream Team". He currently serves as a color commentator for Houston Rockets home games. Drexler made a guest appearance on Married... with Children, a cameo appearance in an episode of Arliss, and was also a guest star in an episode of The Sentinel. In 2006, he made a cameo appearance in the basketball movie Like Mike 2: Streetball. That same year, Drexler participated in the first season of the Spike TV show Pros vs. Joes, which features three amateur contestants matching themselves against five professional athletes. Drexler was a member of the regular season Green Team and the season finale Orange Team. On February 21, 2007, it was announced that Drexler would participate in the fourth season of the American version of Dancing with the Stars with partner Elena Grinenko. Drexler was the fourth celebrity to be voted off in round five on April 17, 2007. On April 11, 2010, Drexler appeared as a guest on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice in which he helped the men's team "Rock Solid" complete a task to create video advertisements for Right Guard.
