His debut was in the Sci-Fi movie Runaway (1984), directed by Jurassic Park (1993)'s writer, Michael Crichton. 1986 was his most successful year after having a brief role as young Broud, in The Clan of the Cave Bear (1986), as the son of Scott Bakula in the Disney TV movie Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color: I-Man (1986), and being the main star in another Sci-Fi movie, Flight of the Navigator (1986), directed by Randal Kleiser (Grease (1978)'s director), at the same time that he appeared in a double episode from the TV series Murder, She Wrote (1984). In 1987, after appearing in Stone Fox (1987), he ceased acting in order to continue his studies. Eventually he back to cinema in 1996, in a brief and uncredited role in It's My Party (1996).

He was behind the screenplays of the films Silent Hill and Beowulf. Before that, he had worked on Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, the latter of which earned both him and Quentin Tarantino an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay at the 67th Academy Awards. Marc Vann (born August 23, 1954), is an Americanactor. He is known for his role as Conrad Ecklie in the CBStelevision series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He also had notable roles in Angel and Early Edition. Vann was born in Norfolk, Virginia. He initially had little interest in acting or theater, but he was introduced to the craft through a mime workshop while studying for his MBA. He subsequently got involved in theater before moving to L.A. to start a career as a television actor. Vann was active in local and regional theater in the Chicago area most memorably in his early career at Wisdom Bridge Theatre and Center Theatre. Marc added immeasurably to the success of the Wisdom Bridge Theatre production of "The Great Gatsby" production of Wisdom Bridge that also starred the actor Harry Lennix who was race/color blind cast as Gatsby. On February 28, 2008, Vann pulled off a special feat, guest starring back to back in new episodes of two different series, both on ABC. First, he played a ship's doctor on the cult phenom Lost, and then played an automotive worker who was bribed into moving to Hawaii and not testifying in a trial in Eli Stone. He was recently in a "Skittles" commercial as the doctor. In 2011 he appeared in two episodes of Torchwood: Miracle Day as camp manager Colin Maloney.

Ohnogi graduated from the Department of Literature at Keio University, he attended Keio University in the same years as Macross character designer Mikimoto Haruhiko and creator Kawamori Shouji, both of whom he would first collaborate with in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, which marked the start of his screenwriter career.
