Rodrigo Sorogoyen del Amo (born 16 September 1981) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He won the Goya Award for Best Director and the Goya Award for Best Original Screenplay for The Realm. He was previously nominated for the Goya Award for Best New Director for Stockholm, the Goya Award for Best Director, and the Goya Award for Best Original Screenplay for May God Save Us. For the short film Mother, Sorogoyen won the Goya Award for Best Fictional Short Film and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. He often works in tandem with Isabel Peña. Born on 16 September 1981 in Madrid, Rodrigo Sorogoyen is the grandson of filmmaker Antonio del Amo. He graduated in history from the Complutense University of Madrid and entered the ECAM in 2004. Helene Winston was a Canadian actor and author. She is best known for her role as Gladys King, mother to Larry King played by the late Al Waxman on the popular TV series The King of Kensington. She began as a stage actor with Winnipeg's Theatre 77 which later became the Manitoba Theatre Centre. She retired from acting in 1993 due to ill health and devoted some of her time to writing poetry.

Sarah Hay, born in 1987, was brought up in Princeton, New Jersey, with her older brother, who is an opera singer, and sister. Her grandmother was an art dealer in New York, and her grandfather is a member of the New York Philharmonic. Hay's parents are both amateur dancers and psychologists. She began attending dancing classes at the age of three, and joined the School of American Ballet in New York City when she was eight, and later attended the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet at the American Ballet Theatre. She later explained that while she was popular at normal school, at the ballet school she was considered to be a "loser" because she wasn't from a wealthy background. She described herself a "troublemaker" during her childhood, and only decided to pursue ballet professionally when she was a teenager.
