A la veille de Noël, dans la cabine d'un train de nuit, deux passagers et le contrôleur découvrent un homme mort. Lorsqu'ils se rendent compte que celui-ci transportait des diamants, ils décident de se débarrasser du corps pour se les partager. Leur complot prend une tournure sanglante quand ils en viennent à découper le cadavre pour le dissimuler dans une malle.
