Amy est, à première vue, une jeune femme qui mène une existence tout à fait normale, entourée de parents qui l'adorent et d'un fiancé à l'avenir prometteur. L' avenir semble lui sourire jusqu'au jour où son fiancé insiste pour qu'ils partagent jusqu'à leurs plus intimes secrets... Ceux qu'ils n'ont jamais révélés à personne. Lorsque Amy finit par céder en lui avouant son plus lourd secret, tout s'écroule autour d'elle.
