"Slashers" est le nom d’une émission de télé réalité nipponne, la plus célèbre et la plus regardée au monde. Le principe en est fort simple : six candidats doivent pénétrer dans le "Hangar de la mort", un vaste labyrinthe où vont sévir trois "Slashers" aussi délirants qu’impitoyables : Charlie le Tronçonneur, le Révérend et le Dr Dépeceur. Un seul objectif pour les candidats: échapper à une mort atroce durant un peu plus d’une heure, devant la steadycam attentive de Hideo. Hormis l’interdiction de gêner ce dernier et de bouger durant les pauses publicitaires, tout est permis afin de s’en sortir. Aucun joueur n’ayant survécu à la dernière émission, la cagnotte s’élève cette fois à 12 millions de dollars, chaque "Slasher" tué rapportant un bonus de 2 millions.
