Le mythe entourant la célèbre Comtesse Bathory de Hongrie survit encore, presque quatre siècle après sa mort. Le film Éternelle est une adaptation contemporaine de ce mythe. Le détective Raymond Pope est à la recherche de sa femme mystérieusement disparue. Son enquête le mène à l'imposante résidence de l'énigmatique Élizabeth Kane et de la jeune et redoutable Irina.
