Kendall est architecte et rencontre Zach, un marin pêcheur, à l'inauguration d'un restaurant de Seattle. Lors d'une visite chez son père, dans sa ville natale de Mystic Bay, elle retrouve Zach qui s'y est installé avec sa fille et souhaite acquérir le bateau familial de Kendall.
