Elle débuta en 1927 dans les tournées de "No no Nanette" jusqu'en 1931, en province et dans les théâtres de quartier parisiens ! Pourtant authentique marseillaise (ce n'était pas le cas de la plupart des autres, souvent bordelais !), elle ne fit partie de la troupe d'opérette marseillaise de René Sarvil que pour la première pièce du genre, "Au pays du Soleil" en 1932 (et auparavant pour la "Revue marseillaise"), et n'y revint qu'en 1948 pour la dernière, "Voici Marseille" (musique de Charles Chobillon), si l'on excepte une petite participation à la version filmée de "Un de la Canebière" en 1938. Elle se consacra jusqu'à la fin des années 60 essentiellement au cinéma non musical, mais souvent marseillais (Pagnol, et les premiers films provencaux de Henri Verneuil, entre autres), avec un clin d'oeil à son premier rôle, une petite figuration dans la version filmée d'"Au pays du soleil" en 1951 (avec Tino Rossi dans le rôle créé par Alibert).
