Oumar Diaw est un acteur français d'origine sénégalaise, né à Dakar le 6 août 1981. À l'âge de trois ans, il arrive en France. Il vit d'abord à Paris avec ses parents, puis ceux-ci déménagent à Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) où habite le reste de la famille. C'est dans cette ville qu'il grandit et fait le reste de sa scolarité. She was the daughter of Irene Riano (1871–1940), the daughter of Joseph Rice, a Philadelphia theatre owner, who, in the early 1890s, married vaudeville acrobat Robert Riano (b. 1867, Yonkers, New York – 1909, New York City). Irene Riano was a stage actress, the sole female member of vaudeville's popular Four Rianos acrobatic act, eccentric acrobat act which toured the world in vaudeville, variety and music halls, and the mother of actress Renie Riano. Irene was the daughter of Joseph Rice, a Philadelphia theatre owner. In the early 1890s, she married vaudeville acrobat Robert Riano (b. 1867, Yonkers, New York – 1909, New York City) who organised the famous "Four Rianos" eccentric acrobat act which toured the world in vaudeville, variety and music halls.

Né le 6 août 1965 soit vingt ans jour pour jour après le bombardement d'Hiroshima (d'où son nom d'artiste), Olivier Megaton est diplômé de psychologie et auteur d'une thèse sur l'évolution de la reconnaissance de l'icône. Cependant, à partir des années 1980, il change de voie et s'illustre comme graffiteur sur les murs de Paris, puis dans les galeries parisiennes. Impressionné par son travail, Jean-Baptiste Mondino l'encourage à réaliser son premier court métrage, No Way ou le coeur du Phoenix en 1991. Il reste alors, dans les années 90, derrière la caméra pour des pubs, des clips et une dizaine de courts métrages dont Tout morose et Je ne veux pas être sage en 1998. Ce dernier film inspirera le réalisateur pour son premier long métrage, Exit, qui retrace un voyage dans l'esprit d'un serial killer. Malgré le soutien de Luc Besson, qui produit le film, Exit est un échec commercial. Olivier Megaton réalise, en 2002, La Sirène rouge, avec Asia Argento et Jean-Marc Barr, d'après l'oeuvre violente et controversée de Maurice G. Dantec. S'il ne reste jamais éloigné des plateaux (publicités, documentaires, courts métrages), le cinéaste ne revient qu'en 2007 au long métrage sous la bannière EuropaCorp, en réalisant les scènes d'action du Hitman de Xavier Gens. Cette expérience le propulse à la tête de Transporteur III (2008). En 2011, auréolé par le succès de son dernier film, il dirige Zoe Saldana dans le film d'action Colombiana, toujours produit par EuropaCorp. L'année suivante, le réalisateur continue sur sa lancée et réalise le très lucratif Taken 2, toujours produit par son ami Luc Besson, et porté par un Liam Neeson en grande forme.
