Pedro Pascal est né de parents qui faisaient partie du mouvement d’opposition contre Augusto Pinochet au Chili. Peu après sa naissance, sa famille obtient l’asile politique et déménage en Californie puis au Texas. Durant ses jeunes années, il fait de la compétition en natation mais privilégie le théâtre au moment où il découvre et tombe amoureux de cette discipline. Le jeune homme effectue ainsi des études dans cette voix à New York où il s’installe. Pedro Pascal commence à apparaître dans des épisodes de séries à partir de la fin des années 1990 avant de trouver son premier rôle récurrent de la série juridique The Good Wife. Il y incarne le personnage de Nathan Landry le temps de six épisodes.
