Giancarlo Giannini /d͡ʒanˈkaɾlo d͡ʒanˈnini/, né le 1er août 1942 à La Spezia (Royaume d'Italie), est un acteur, scénariste et réalisateur italien. Après des études d'ingénieur, Giancarlo Giannini s'oriente vers une carrière artistique. Il entre à l'Académie d'art dramatique Silvio d'Amico puis trouve quelques rôles au théâtre dans des adaptations de William Shakespeare. En 1965, il fait ses débuts au cinéma dans Fango sulla metropoli de Gino Mangini. Cette même année, il rencontre Lina Wertmüller qui le dirige au théâtre. La cinéaste l'emploiera par la suite dans la quasi-totalité de ses films. Les deux fonderont même ensemble la société de production Liberty films. En 1968, Giancarlo Giannini tient un rôle secondaire de soldat dans Anzio d'Edward Dmytryk au côté d'acteurs prestigieux comme Robert Mitchum, Robert Ryan et Peter Falk. De même l'année suivante, on le retrouve avec Anthony Quinn et Anna Magnani dans Le Secret de Santa Vittoria de Stanley Kramer. Au-delà de ses quelques productions internationales, c'est d'abord en Italie qu'il commence à se faire un nom. Ettore Scola le place dans un triangle amoureux avec Marcello Mastroianni et Monica Vitti dans Drame de la jalousie (1970). Il obtient ensuite quelques rôles principaux comme dans le thriller La Tarantule au ventre noir (1972) de Paolo Cavara dans lequel il joue un inspecteur de police. En 1973, sa carrière connaît un tournant important quand il reçoit le prix d'interprétation masculine à Cannes pour sa performance dans Film d'amore e d'anarchia, ovvero stamattina alle 10 in via dei Fiori nella nota casa di tolleranza de Lina Wertmüller. Giancarlo Giannini y incarne un jeune paysan partant à Rome assassiné Mussolini. En 1974, le comédien joue au côté de Catherine Deneuve et Fernando Rey dans La Grande bourgeoise de Mauro Bolognini. Il tourne également Deux grandes gueules (1974), un road movie sous la direction de Sergio Corbucci et incarne un aristocrate insatisfait dans L' Innocent (1976) de Luchino Visconti. Sa carrière est alors à son apogée. Il est nommé pour l'Oscar du meilleur acteur pour son rôle de petite frappe dans Pasqualino (1976). Si Giancarlo Giannini continue à tourner énormément par la suite, ses rôles sont nettement moins prestigieux. Rainer Werner Fassbinder lui donne le rôle d'un jeune musicien juif dans Lili Marleen (1981). Il fait aussi des apparitions dans le segment de New York Stories de Francis Ford Coppola, Le Soleil même la nuit (1989) des frères Taviani ou Vita coi fligi de Dino Risi. En 1998, il retrouve Ettore Scola pour Le Dîner. A la même période, il tient quelques seconds rôles dans deux grosses productions hollywoodiennes : Mimic (1997) et Hannibal (2001). Douze ans après son père, Roman Coppola le fait tourner dans CQ (2001). Entre temps, Giancarlo Giannini a écrit et réalisé son premier film en 1987 : Ternosecco.

Henry Burk Jones (August 1, 1912 – May 17, 1999) was an American actor of stage, film and television. Jones was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Helen (née Burk) and John Francis Xavier Jones. He was the grandson of Pennsylvania Representative Henry Burk. He attended the Jesuit-run Saint Joseph's Preparatory School. Jones is remembered for his role as handyman Leroy Jessup in the movie The Bad Seed (1956), a role he originated on Broadway. Other theatre credits included My Sister Eileen, Hamlet, The Time of Your Life, They Knew What They Wanted, The Solid Gold Cadillac, and Sunrise at Campobello, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play, and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Performance in a Drama. Jones appeared in more than 180 movies and television shows. His screen credits included The Girl Can't Help It, 3:10 to Yuma, Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?, Vertigo, Cash McCall, The Bramble Bush, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Dirty Dingus Magee, Support Your Local Gunfighter, and Arachnophobia. On television, Jones appeared in Appointment with Adventure, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Eleventh Hour, Channing, Phyllis, Night Gallery, Emergency!, Gunsmoke, The Twilight Zone, and The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show. He played Dr. Smith's cousin in a 1966 episode of Lost In Space, "Curse Of Cousin Smith," great acting by Henry, and R.J. Hoferkamp in the 1968 made-for-television western movie Something for a Lonely Man. Jones died in Los Angeles, California, at age 86, from complications from injuries suffered in a fall. Dominick "Dom" DeLuise (August 1, 1933 – May 4, 2009) was an American actor and comedian. Known primarily for comedy roles, he rose to fame in the 1970s as a frequent guest on television variety shows. He is widely recognized for his performances in the films of Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder, as well as a series of collaborations and a double act with Burt Reynolds. Beginning in the 1980s, his popularity expanded to younger audiences from voicing characters in several major animated productions, particularly those of Don Bluth. DeLuise was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Italian American parents. He attended the High School of Performing Arts in New York City and later studied biology at Tufts University. After graduating from college, he began his career as a stand-up comedian. He made his television debut in 1964 on the variety show The Dean Martin Show. In 1970, DeLuise made his film debut in the Mel Brooks comedy The Twelve Chairs. He went on to appear in several other Brooks films, including Blazing Saddles, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and History of the World, Part I. He also starred in a number of films with Gene Wilder, including The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother, The World's Greatest Lover, and See No Evil, Hear No Evil. DeLuise was a frequent collaborator with Burt Reynolds, and the two starred in a number of films together, including The End, Smokey and the Bandit II, and Cannonball Run II. He also had a recurring role on the television series Evening Shade. In addition to his film and television work, DeLuise was also a successful voice actor. He voiced characters in a number of animated films, including All Dogs Go to Heaven, The Secret of NIMH, and An American Tail. He also hosted the children's cooking show Cooking with Dom DeLuise. DeLuise was a popular and beloved figure in Hollywood. He was known for his infectious laugh and his larger-than-life personality. He was also a talented actor and comedian, and he enjoyed a long and successful career. Dom DeLuise died on May 4, 2009, at the age of 75. He had been battling pancreatic cancer for several months. He died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Beverly Hills, California. DeLuise's family released a statement saying that he had died "peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer." They said that he was "surrounded by his loving family and friends." DeLuise's death was met with sadness and tributes from fans and colleagues alike. Mel Brooks, who directed DeLuise in several films, said that he was "a great talent and a great friend." Gene Wilder said that DeLuise was "one of the funniest people I've ever known."
