Jacques Rispal, né le 1er août 1923 à Belvès (Dordogne) et mort le 9 février 1986 à Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine), est un acteur français. Résistant durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, avec son père Gabriel et sa mère Hélène, il aide les Juifs à fuir le régime nazi. À la Libération, il suit les cours d'art dramatique de Pierre Renoir et de Charles Dullin. Au Théâtre de l'Atelier sous la direction d'André Barsacq, il joue plusieurs pièces du théâtre contemporain. Adhérent au Parti communiste, il est exclu en raison de ses activités au sein du réseau Jeanson qui aida les membres du FLN durant la guerre d'Algérie. Pour cette raison, il est déchu de ses droits civiques et incarcéré de mars 1960 à septembre 1962 à la prison de la Santé. Born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1947, Larrington Walker was a British-based actor best known for his roles in The Chinese Detective and the 1980s children's educational series You and Me. His film credits included Human Traffic, Second Coming and Finding Your Feet. He continued to work right up until his death, appearing in the BBC's Death in Paradise when he died at the age of 70 in Guadeloupe, where the series is filmed. His first film as a lead actor was Daisy, a Malayalam film directed by Prathap K. Pothan. The movie also starred Kamal Hassan. In Tamil, he was introduced by T. Rajendar as a lead in the film Pookal Vidum Thudel, directed by Sridhar Rajan. In Telugu, he was introduced as a lead actor by producer D. Ramanaidu in the film Prema Khaidi in 1990 with Malashree as the female lead. As the film went on to be a success at the box office, Ramanaidu decided to re-make it in Hindi with Harish as the lead and introduced Karisma Kapoor as the female lead opposite Harish in the film Prem Qaidi in 1991 which did well at the box office.
